Application of Tetrachloroethylene

1. Tetrachloroethylene is widely used, mainly as a metal degreasing solvent, but also as an insect repellent. Tetrachloroethylene can be used as fat extractant, fire extinguishing agent and smoke screen agent, etc., and can also be used to synthesize trichloroethylene and fluorinated organic compounds.
2. Tetrachloroethylene is widely used as a dry cleaning agent for natural and synthetic fibers. It is also used as degreasing detergent for metals, general solvent and intermediate for organic synthesis.
3. Tetrachloroethylene is used as a standard material for chromatographic analysis.
4. Tetrachloroethylene is used as a repellent and fat extractant for adhesives, and is also used for organic synthesis.
