Dicotyl phthalate(DOP) is colourless, transparent oily liquid, b.p. 386ºC, viscosity 80 c.p. (20ºC), refractive index 1.483~1.486(20ºC).
Performance:Freezing point -55°C, boiling point 340°C, 231°C (0.67 kPa), relative density 0.9861 (25/4°C), refractive index 1.483 (25°C). Miscible with most organic solvents, insoluble in water.
Application of Dioctyl phthalate
DOP plasticizer is one of the most useful plasticizer,it shows properties of the plasticizing efficiency,low volatility, light-resistant,water-endurance,weathering resisting,good electrical functions,and fine softening effect,etc..Extensively used in processing electrical wires and cables, artificialleathers,films and moulding plastics from polyvinyl ch-loride,vinyl ch-loride copolymers,and cellulosic resins.
Use:
1. General-purpose main plasticizer, widely used in plastics, rubber, paint and emulsifier industries. PVC plasticized with it can be used in the manufacture of artificial leather, agricultural films, packaging materials, cables and so on.
2. Used in the processing of chemical fiber resin, acetate resin, ABS resin, rubber and other polymers.
3. It can also be used as paint, dyestuff, dispersing agent and so on.
Packed in iron drum,net weight 200 kg/drum.
Stored at dry,shady,ventilated place.
Prevented from collision and sunrays,rain-attack during handling and shipping.
