Application of Sodium Formate
1. Sodium formate is used as a camouflage acid in the leather industry, chromium tanning, as a catalyst and a stabilizing synthetic agent.
2. In the printing and dyeing industry, sodium formate is used as a reducing agent to produce insurance powder, oxalic acid and formic acid.
3. Sodium formate is used to precipitate precious metals. Complex ions of trivalent metals can be formed in solution, which have a buffering effect and can correct the pH value of strong acids.
4. Sodium formate is used in resin coatings, plasticizers, high explosives, acid-resistant materials, aviation lubricants, adhesive additives.
